Because fpkk demanded it... shock-horror... an update!!!
Okay first Hollywood was awesome I truly wished I had stayed out there longer than the few days I did but at least I now sound like an interesting jet-setter kinda guy when people ask about the trip...
Random Person: Hey I heard you went to the States - did you have a good time?
Me: (nonchalantly) Yeah it wasn't bad.
Random Person: What did you go for?
Me: Oh just a little film festival in Hollywood...
Random Person: Cool... so how long where you there for?
Me: (even more nonchalantly) Oh you know (miming mental arithmetic)... roughly 65 hours.
Random Person: ... (nothing - he's too stunned!!!)
To be honest it worked out well because I stayed awake almost all of the trip (except for the screening of the extended Jersey Girl which unfortunately I nodded off at the tail end of) and when I got back to the UK I wasn't really jet-lagged... just really really tired!!!
They're doing a 10th anniversary screening of Mallrats this month too and I've yet to decide whether to be totally reckless and go again - I'd need to find a really cheap flight though!
Speaking of reckless behaviour I have never owned a mobile phone (or cell phone for any US readers out there!)... but today I bought this because I am a geek!...
Basically you get a really cool black box that is apparently designed to look like a prop from Episode III (Vader's lunchbox... I'm not quite sure?!?!), a Nokia 3220 phone, a Darth Vader desk buddy (it flashes when your phone is about to ring... presumably for people who've always wanted to be psychic but never quite got there... and who like Star Wars), a Chewbacca phone pouch (which is uber-cool... but I'm too afraid of ruining it... the curse of the collector!), five Star Wars themed backing cards for the phone (I've already put in the lenticular Anakin/Vader one... ooohhh!), and a Yoda top-up card...
I think there is some Star Wars content on the phone too (games, wallpapers, ringtones, videos, etc) but I haven't checked yet because it needs charging for four hours as it's new!!! But if there isn't any content you can download it from Orange (for a suprisingly hefty fee)!!!
That's about all from me...

I met Donna, I think I was number 88 on her list.
I felt a bit out of place at the thon... Almost like crashing a family reunion or something. I seriously did not know who many of the people were there. I thought Andy was a little boy and was shocked that he was smoking and swearing. I'm glad Bryan Johnson and Brian Quinn went out of the way to be nice and introduce me to people and make me feel welcome.
And, age isn't bad for boys! You guys get sexier with age. I, on the other hand am always supposed to look like jailbait to be hot! I was talking with my friends Seanbaby and luckybestwash about this just last night while watching and criticizing Playboy TV porn. Maybe I wouldn't feel so old if I stopped watching so much porn.
Andy is getting a show on MTV? I really need to get cable or a friend with a dish. I'm just not a big TV watcher.
Anyhoo, talk to ya later!
