so i go to my friends page, and try reading journals. i start reading through, and i don't know..all of them bored me, so i started skimming, and i realized, i really don't care about what most of you have to say. why do i bother?
another thing, i was looking at my friends list, and noticed some more of my friends were grey. once again. why do i even care? haha. i'm lame.
today, we were installing a new water pump on the snuff mobile. we had THE WORST luck with it.
-matt, my little brother's friend, flaked out on buying the part for me. he takes auto shop at one of the high schools here, and he gets a discount on everything from the parts store i got the part from. i tried to get my other friend to say he was in auto at redwood. and they asked for some slip or something. i just bought the part at retail. the part was 48 something and i had 40 on me as i was expecting the part to be 32 and change. so i put it on my atm card which hasd like 50 and change on it. now i'm probably gonna bounce my bank fees. fuck.
- we get the water pump and everything off but the gasket is fucket melted to the engine. and we spend like 4 hours scraping the gasket off so that we can put the new one on. we tried everything from steel wool, to those scrapers used for paint, to sand paper. finally after about 2 hours of scraping that shit off we found a razor blade. and it still took another 2 hours of more scraping.
- we start putting the water pump on and one of the bolts won't screw in because its so rusted the threading is clogged. so we have to take it all off again.
- after we clean out the hole, we start putting it all back on, and one of the bolts snaps. so we have to take it all off again. then get a vice grip and pull out the leftover chunk of the bolt.
- i drive over to home depot to pick up a new bolt. but i get there at 9:10 and they close at 9.
- i go back and we put the car back together as much as possible. so right now the van is sitting at chris's it only needs another bolt on the water pump and then all the fans need to go back on and it should be functional by noon.
now how many of you really cared what i had to say? haha
