Ok, ok, ok...since I have a multitude of information to share, and I don't want your eyeballs to be dried up by the end of reading this entry (because I love you and that would suck)...I'm going to try to do a brief encapsulation of what happened in the last week. Later, in other entries, when necessary, I will go into more detail. Sound like a deal?
1. We moved. Hiring movers was great, I highly recommend it if you can find cheap ones. All of our stuff moved and placed where we wanted in less than 3 hours. Of course, it took 3 days to unpack all of said stuff. If only they moved, unpacked, and cleaned.
2. Bellsouth DSL is a bunch of fucking assholes. I did their "Quick! Easy! Time-saving!" change your address and move your service online deal...and they didn't do it. It took a week for us to get internet. Did they apologize? No. They did, however, send JP a free T-shirt. Because that made up for the hours on end we spent arguing on the phone with them.
3. When we didn't have the internet, we bought movies like Kung Fu Hustle and Sin City and played many video games, including Madden 06 and Flatout. Flatout is an awesome game, as the point of many of the events is to throw your driver through the windshield of his car to score points.
4. Our apartment is GREAT! Our neighbors...not so much so, but they keep to themselves now that the patrol car is parked outside of our apartment every night. And, if we close the blinds, we can't see outside, so it's like we're in our own little world anyway.
5. I got my hair dyed. How, is a surprise. I will take pictures later. Oh...the suspense.
6. I applied for two key-holder positions in retail stores here in Lebanon. Apparently, Target is going to make me wait ages and ages for my LP job there, and Sears got rid of my boss while I was gone, and now they're gunning for me. (Why, I don't know...I carry my department). This week, I have 22 hours. My drive to work is an hour one way. Gas is $2.55 here. You figure out if it's worth my time. The two positions I applied for here pay about the same, and are each part-time. They'll work with each other and with school and with the days I have to have off...and, they're exactly 6 miles and 5 minutes from home. I have to call tonight and tomorrow to find out for certain, so CROSS YOUR FINGERS!! I called out sick tonight at Sears, just so I can be home for when they call.
7. Had a housewarming party. Was given wine and some very beautiful wine glasses. Everyone got drunk and a good time was had by all. I just wish my friends' list lived closer so you all could've come, too.
8. Tell Chimay Happy Birthday. Tell HelloNurse you are 100% sorry for missing wishing her a happy birthday (that is, of course, if you DID miss telling her Happy Birthday).
9. Going to see "Skeleton Key" tonight. Looks kind of scary. Probably will make me want to be religious again to ward off bad spirits. We shall see.
10. Watched "Almost Famous" for the first time over the internetless period. What a great fucking movie! I wish rock music was still like that. One big psychedelic jam session. Oh, to have been a hippie back then.
I'm positive I'm forgetting things. This was an impossibly busy week for me to only have 10 "What you missed" things. I'll post more later, I'm sure. Pics, too.
I'm glad to be back, kids. Glad to be back.
