Got up early today..just couldnt sleep. I got a new gas pump yesterday. I sold two 1950's pumps and bought a 1930's pump. Its going to be fun and killer when its done being restored. I moderate a gas website.. www.oldgas.com and we had to suspend a member for 45 days and gave warnings to 2 people. There has been fallout but I think we made the right decission. The member that got suspended continually violated the user agreement he signed on for when joining. He feels like it was a witch hunt and is rallying people to take his side. Can you believe that....Damn...These guys are in thier 50's and the still act like thier in Jr. High School. How supposedly grown adults cant act this way is beyond me. Why cant everyone who has made a mistake own up to it and say...you know what i was wrong...I will modify my behavour in the future. I know i have been wrong plenty in the past and when it was pointed out I acknowleged it and changed my views or how i acted. SHIT...isnt that how we learn? The owner of the website and other moderator and myself thought long and hard and discussed it together before we decided to suspend this member. We DONT like taking such actions but it was in the best interest of the online community. This person had a track record of stirring things up with personal attacks that we were losing good members because of. I know we did the right thing , but I really cant believe he made it into an "US AND THEM" situation. We are now on his "shitlist" he wont talk to us about it and is sending a newsletter to a couple hundred collectors saying oldgas made a bad call and he was wrongly and unfairly suspended. Pisses me off. I say own up to the stuff you do or say...be a Man ...if you stepped in shit...apologize , wipe it off and next time walk around it. Sorry about the rant ....I know i am probably the only gas geek on SG but the situation pertains to Life in general. Sometimes I think I am the only one who values the qualities of : Honesty, Pride, being humble, being a good listener, The ability to rationally debate something without personal attacks or holding a grudge.

And while I don't know anything specific about the hobby ... I think your gas pump collection is HOT!
