I know this is incredibly random to be blogging at 8am on a Tuesday. But something just occurred to me - I had a date on Saturday night, and, as with any date (be it a first date or someone I've been seeing for awhile), I made sure I looked good - top to bottom. Some people may think this is vain but I think it's very important to look good for a man. I want to feel the physical attraction, and let's just say I probably wouldn't feel it if I showed up in the towel I'm wearing right now. Or maybe I would. But that's for another blog.
This morning in the shower it occurred to me - how much time I actually SPEND trying to look good (And I don't mean I want to walk out of my apartment looking like Gisele Bundchen. Though that would be nice. I think I'm pretty attractive and try to make the most of it. Done. Point made.)
However, I would say that for EACH date - and there have been quite a few - I spend a solid hour to an hour a half getting ready. This includes: picking out the outfit, ironing/accessorizing said outfit, picking out the subtle lingerie (you never know), shower, shave (all of it in case I didn't make it to the esthetician that week), makeup (so that I look like I'm not wearing any), hair (I have a lot of curls), etc. So, you're probably wondering (or not; I imagine no one's really reading this petty sh*t) why I'm so worked up about this. Because I imagine it took my date about 15 minutes to get ready, including a shower. And I've probably used up a good 16th of my life preparing for dates. That's a lot of time. I could've done dramatic things with that time like service work, calling my dad more often, or blogging on SG.
For some reason that really got under my skin this morning. I envy men for the fact they're a 'no muss, no fuss' gender. Lucky them. For that and for the fact they orgasm each and every time.
Sigh. I'm off to vote.

Anyways, you never mentioned how the date went...?
Oh, and some of us actually *don't* orgasm every time (stupid antidepressants).
