yeah, so i haven't updated in a while, sue me
Hmmm, lets see.
Christmas was completely awesome, minus the fact I almost had to kill my family for accidentally giving a jacket I'd never seen before, but knew had to be mine upon seeing it opened, to my brother. The wrath was subdued upon delivery to its rightful owner (it's totally sweet). It was nice to be home for the holidays and not have a trip back to pseudo-home looming over my head. My brothers and I must've played their new video games until 8am. I had really missed that. Mind you, I didn't miss all the stress leading up to Christmas, but the payoff was more than worth it. It's good to be home.
The holiday season from a retail standpoint... well, it kicked my ass. I was working 6 10 hour days a week. But we made bonus and I got that yesterday... again, payoff == ownage == worth it.
I've got my resume floating around right now. I like my job but there are some company rearrangements that are getting ready to happen and I need some bargaining power to over-ensure I don't get lost in the shuffle. I'm sure I've got enough as it stands, but being over-prepared doesn't always hurt. That and if I could find equal or better pay for less or equal stress, I'd take the job in a heartbeat. Again, love my job, but I only actually like about 10% of the customers I see in a day and the area I work in seems to carry a large percentage of the "rude assholes" demographic. Big surprise there, I think that's about half the world these days
My older brother and his girlfriend are officially getting married, although she won't see or know about the ring until February. Then he and I move in together in March, they get married in June or July and she moves in with us until the lease runs out. That's when they go off to Colorado to begin their lives as a missions work couple (more power to them, i certainly couldn't do it).
The younger brother is impressing the whole family. He has some sponsorship offers (he's a skater) and is actually being quite diligent and discerning all on his own at the ripe young age of 15. Oh, and he found himself a girl in Tampa named Sherri... so I just walk around singing "Sherri, sherri baby" everytime he's talking to her.... you know... just to make sure I'm fulfilling my duties as a big brother and humiliating him on a daily basis to best of my abilities. (Seriously, it's a requirement)
My friend S.K.I.P, who I mentioned in a previous entry, is trying to get me to either spit some of my slam poetry on his next album or do a cold reading he can put a few beats behind. We'll see what happens with that, could be cool though, certainly worth having the experience.
Other than that, life is what it is right now: Not overly one way or the other, but definately liveable. It's good to be happy
Oh, and lastly, I get to close a 4000+ milage barrier right around april. And then instead of
, I can be all like
(yes, all at once)
Whoops, almost forgot, work gave me a new phone, 375-4633, figure out the area code if you know me or want to call badly enough, mother fuckers
