I'd like to state, for the record, that insomnia (or whatever I have) blows.
The odd part about it, it comes and goes like it never happened. Last night, I woke up after actually sleeping for about an hour and my mind felt like I needed to be awake instead of quietly slumbering... after trying to ignore this impulse for a good 30 minutes, I gave up and gave in. I couldn't get back to sleep for about 2 hours. Then tonight, asleep for 1.5, working on my 2nd hour of not being able to sleep.
In other news, I visited my family for the holidays, that was enjoyable (hadn't seen them in 6 months). I've picked up a second job to circumvent the simple fact that nobody is building ANYTHING in NC right now that requires engineering. And the mystery job is ::drumroll:: I'M A WAITER! (yay.) In all seriousness though, I think I've done every other job possible in the Service Industry, so why not this one? It has brought back some fun memories though. It's a jazz club/restaraunt/bar and I get to dress up like I used to have to when teaching Swing/Lindy/Ballroom lessons (told ya, every damn job in the industry). So it's not too bad and I'm making decent money.
Zelda thinks she's getting sick again, which sucks, we'll see though. Other than that, I can't think of much... here's hoping to getting some sleep, I work a double tomorrow and that sounds tiresome enough without worrying about having not slept at all.

ever try taking melatonin before bedtime... it worked for me. unlike sleeping pills, it resets your biological clock, tells your body it's night time, time to sleep.
