I'm feeling odd tonight, but in a good way, I guess.

How is everyone?

Lady Of Silence
E. E. Cummings

Lady of Silence
from the winsome cage of
thy body
rose
through the sensible
night
a
quick bird

(tenderly upon
the darks prodigious face
thy
voice
scattering perfume-gifted
wings
suddenly escorts
with feet
sun-sheer

the smarting beauty of dawn)

I've already covered insane. I dove off that cliff years ago. I am only stupid when my insanity gets the best of me. And perhaps there should be no accounting for either, someone is going to pay for it in some form or another. If you tie two people together, be it with twine or contract, you are bound to get some misery. no pun intended. well, perhaps on some subconscious level it may have been intended. Through the remote synapses in my brain may have sparked, I shall make a pun here but it didnt occur within my thought process until after the pun was made. Fuck, Im weird

"'Two guys whose mother was also their sister'" ...?

I just had to address that

There was a chick on Oprah once whose mother was her sister. She had serious health problems. Really beautiful, though.

Yeah thats not something I really care to think about

You think I don't know these things?

I'm really starting to dig in at my job, and it's proving to be fun. I always knew I wanted to do good things in the world, but gettting paid for it? Man, this is sweet!

after five
times the poem
of thy remembrance
surprises with refrain

of unreasoning summer
that by responding
ways cloaked with renewal
my body turns...

Better yet, why am I up?
noir:
I'm actually only half up. I've been to couch and back several times. Now I'm here during commercials. I haven't been able to go to sleep before 5 lately. I don't know what my problem is.

Looks like your job is going well.

I'm not ready for a new week yet. Are you?

I had the old classic cookout today. I forgot how good that was.

Here's more (gasp) poetry.

Thy fingers make early flowers of
all things.

a smoothness which

thy whitest feet crisply are straying.
Always

I liked the very last line of your last entry. I'll email you later. If I can muster something worthwhile.

I love you
For your little, startled, thoughtless ways,
For your ponderings, like soft dark birds,
And when you speak 'tis a sudden sunlight.

I love you
For your wide child eyes, and fluttering hands,
For the little divinities your wrists,
And the beautiful mysteries your fingers.

I love you
Does the blossom study her day of life?
Is the butterfly vexed...

Oh, I have no doubt that they have money; I just would prefer not to be sucked into the seamy underbelly of identity theft. Or something.

And hooray for poetry. I made a painting of the poem that I put in your journal earlier this week and it makes me happy.

I'm mainly workin at Dayton. I've worked in Columbus a couple nights but right now I gotta stick closer to home.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): Sometimes we have a strong sense of what our destiny is calling us to do, but we don't feel quite ready or brave enough to answer the call. We need a push, an intervention, a serendipitous stroke--what I call fate bait. It's a person or event that awakens our dormant willpower and draws us inexorably towards our fate; it's a thunderbolt or siren song or stage whisper that gives us a good excuse to go do what we know we should do. I suspect that you, Capricorn, are about to meet your fate bait.
noir:
Not exactly. I got a real compliment. And then we had pleasant conversation -- just like normal civilized folks. Then she watched my post so I could go back and eat hotdogs and cookies and watch the fireworks out the window.

How's your weekend? Mine's odd thus far.

E.E. Cummings

who knows if the moon's
a balloon,coming out of a keen city

get into it,if they

why then
we'd go up higher with all the pretty people

than houses and steeples and clouds:

You've posted this one already. Or else I imagined you did -- which would be pretty amazing because I had never heard/seen that poem before then.

Does anyone else here have to dress to the nines but do some walking to work?

What do you do about horrendous heat?

In other nonsense, I love the summer. I have a yearning for baseball.
belladea:
I dress to the nines to go to Wal-Mart. I don't walk places though. That requires being outside. No thanks.

It's around 100 degrees here. Other than AC I can't tell ya what to do about it.

I've never yearned for baseball. I have yearned for shoes.

I see you like the Pre-Raphaelites... Good boy!
