Ok, slackers. A special "thank you" to trilobyte, Llona, and Clara for trying to answer my question. For my part, Sunday and Monday songs are the best. Johnny Cash's "Sunday Morning Coming Down," "Sundays" sung by Lucinda Williams, and "Sunday (is nobody's business but mine)" by Tift Merrit are my favorite leave-me-alone or looking-up-from-the-bottom-of-the-bottle type of Sunday song. The music of the Sundays is good both for that type of solitude or for the slowly coming out of your hangover type of sociality one can enjoy on Sundays. If it's a beautiful sunny Sunday that has you all kinds of happy that you don't have to do jack, then I'm all for the "Easy like Sunday Morning" type of sunday song. This article starts off describing what I'm talking about.

But Monday always comes. My Mondays are a lot like my Sundays, but I understand the emotion that is Monday morning (even if it happens on Wednesdays for me.) I'm a sap, so I love songs like "Monday, Monday," "Rainy Days and Mondays," and "Manic Monday."

One other day-song holds a strange power over me: "Tuesday's Gone." It's probably more my weakness for ramblin' songs and power ballads. I'm not a Skynyrd fan, but this song is beautiful.

Anyway, you can still tell me your day-songs, and I still don't have songs about Wednesday or Thursday.

In other news: I am going to make a concentrated effort to make it to 1000 comments today/tonight. Excuse any gatuitous posting. It's about my year anniversary on SG, so I thought I would ring it in with the ole' 1000 comment benchmark.
