I go away and when I get back...I have friend requests! From SG's! That's a welcome home if ever there was...
So, LA is too much for me. It makes me feel gaseous, nauseated, and horny: these are not somethings I want to be at the same time. But I was impressed by how nice people are...I mean you don't really say anything, but you remember it as being pleasant. The south can be like that, too. All courtesy, no substance. I like to think there's more going on behind southern courtesy, but I'm too entrenched to have any objectivity, if there is such a thing. On the other hand, people are people, and some are vapid, some are posers, and some are cautious. I like to think that the lack of substance in many southern pleasantries is the caution with which people speak to strangers here. Regardless, I'll take it over NYC's "I am an Island" front. But I think that mentality mellows into something beautiful, often enough, when NY'ers move to North Carolina. I'm not a Yankee hater by far. I have no right to be even if I was one (my family being displaced Californians and all.) Anyway, God bless you Longbeach, and Santa Ana, and even you, city of angels.
diggity
p.s. - further adventures in California auger a future of diggity being out west..."Oh, my sweet Carolina, what compels me to go..."
