A good friend of mine moved to Olympia last fall, but just visited this past weekend. Since joining SG and through continued correspondence with my friend I'm starting to get more and more enamored with the Pacific North-West. And I'll be looking for grad school's soon, so...If you happen to be reading this and know anything about good schools with clinical Social Work programs in the PNW, then let me know something, please
Anyway, I love SG, but I have been spending more time on friendster lately. It's weird because I think I have a morbid fascination with it all: so many people seem the same. And I don't think I'm an exception, and I don't think that so many people are actually so similar, but when given a standard form, people describe themselves and the things they like and are into in very similar ways. Think about the number of people on this site that list Requiem for a Dream as one of their favorite movies, or maybe City of the Lost Children/Amelie...Music seems the most varied category, but I think that may be due to the enormous amount of music out there, but I don't know
Anyway, these observations don't even make we want to think about all the strange things I enjoy in some plastic effort to spruce up my profiles. Maybe I find it strangely reassuring that people I know and the people who know the people who know the people I know like the same things. I definitely find it reassuring that pretty women with pretty tatoos who live in the Pacific North West like the same things I do. Now if the SG folks would just recruit some more folks from the south it would be fantastic.

I have now gone one whole week without being bitten. That's a record.
