i just got the diamond dogs extended album, and am really rockin out to Alternative Candidate. i would say this is my favorite Bowie album and probably one of the best of all time.
it was originally going to be set up as a musical based on Orwell's 1984. that was cut due to rights and such, but you can certainly still notice (songs include: 1984, Big Brother). the references to dystopias are great and the general sci fi, post apocalypic feeling....yeah.
