So, something that I knew would happen at some point in my life is upon me. I knew at some stage, I would end up in the Bay Area. It was a given. My original intention was to be moving to New York City this month, but that all changed six months ago when my ex and I broke up.
Now I have met someone new, someone that I am completely, madly in love with in ways I never knew could happen. Someone who is on the same page with me on everything, but still has completely different hobbies, and his own extensive set of friends and family. We are both different, and yet the same.
My job sucks balls right now; I work two to three days a week these days. I spend all my spare time in the bay area at his apartment anyway. My cats are set up here now, and love him to death. They are happy to have a new daddy. After several drug-fueled evenings involving very deep discussions we have decided a few things. One is that I should move to the bay area to go to school. There is a school here that is better then my options in Sacramento, and at the same time it is less expensive. So we are going to look for an affordable place in Berkley or Oakland and I'm going to go back to school again.
This is the first time I have been in a relationship where I have not had to give up anything. What I am now is what he loves, and not what I could be if I tried. What he is now is exactly what I want, need, and love. I know this relationship is very young yet, but I think, this time, it might just be the real thing.
Either way, some things need to happen before this move can become a reality. I need to figure out if I can get out of my lease somehow, and not screw over my roommate in the process. While she and I don't see eye to eye on a lot of things, she's a good woman at heart, and I'm not going to make things worse for her then they already are. Once that is figured out for real, Eric and I need to find a place, and I need to quit my job. Following which I will enroll in school and then sell stock so that I can afford to live while I am in school. I don't want to mooch that much off of Eric even though he says WANTS me to mooch off him. Right now, I have enough to get me through for a couple months, but school is going to take about 5 months plus expenses, so I'll need to have a reserve to draw on.
The initial working out of things will be challenging, but is doable, and will get sorted. This is what I want, and I will make it work for me.

I am happy for you. I like your boy quite a bit. He seems a good fit for you. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help.
