Discover Magazine is holding a competition to see who can make the best two-minute video about string-theory. Big-wigs at CSUCI want a team of students to enter (and win). The team consists of about ten animation students and four math majors. The deadline is March 16th. I was asked to join the math team this afternoon in hopes of helping them have an award-winning script ready for the animators by Wednesday afternoon. Yep, high-pressure screen-writing--it's the reason I became a mathematician.
