So my girlfriend is putting together a girls-only DnD game. Granted, it's going to be made up almost entirely of women who have never played before, but...girls-only DnD. That's hot. Way hot. Hawt even.
In other news, I met with my research professor for the first time since the beginning of the semester. We went over the proof of the lemma that I worked on over the summer and discovered that, despite proving two different, difficult cases, I hadn't really proved it to the degree of generality needed for our work. Meh.
In classic form, after spending half-an-hour going over my work--which took nearly twenty pages and almost a month to complete--Professor G. pulls out his notebook and flips it open to a collection of FOUR pages with the comment, "Well this is my version of the same proof which I did sitting in the airport waiting to get through security."
Sigh. Yeah, I know that's the difference between having a PhD and doing research and being an undergrad doing the same research. But still...he could have at least looked a lot less casual when he broke out with the "I found myself in Mexico at the airport with guys with guns running everywhere, so I wrote out the proof...."
Lol! From the hotness of all girl DnD to the inanities of graph theory.... Do I know how to harsh a buzz or what?

I'm a little more involved in the boards, but I would say that I'm much more involved in the Toronto group (event participation and planning). It's a lot of fun and I've met some awesome people.
