gosh, am i beat.
finished another gazillion projects today. ready to begin bank of america phase II AND i've been made graphics lead for the clinton presidential library. it's like i get out of one mess and hop right into another.
(fyi: the clinton library is a proverbial mess right now. our prototypes keep getting rejected because the designers can't make up their minds as to what they want, as usual...so, its going to be fun and stressful, but i'm up to the challenge of cleaning that bitch up)
i think fanelli got fired today. either that, or he quit on his own behalf. i'm a bit sad cause even though he drove me absolutely insane, he was a pleasant man to talk to on the phone. i felt bad because i thought maybe he quit/got fired because of my bitching(which was rampant, i admit), but i walked in on a bunch of my coworkers talking about it and what they were saying is true: he is highly disorganized and tends to wait until the last minute to spring stuff on us. kinda sucks.
this can mean one of two things:
someone who knows what the fuck they are doing will take over for him
or
they will hire someone just as disorganized or incompetant to take his place, thus making my life hell again.
gah. i think karen and dorota are taking over for him, which gives me a sense of hope, since they are the most organized and knowledgeable at dcl. i would hate to be the lead for the other proj. managers, they seem just as disorganized as fanelli.
+++++
i'm glad its warmish out today. i was able to have a picnic of sorts at work with wenzday (beezwax) and ollie (roust-a-bout). i miss hanging with the scul folks a lot, but distancing myself is something i need to do right now, in order to wash all the badness away. i look forward to april when the season starts up again, although i don't know how religiously i'll ride this year. but i do know that if and when i ride, it will be solely for myself, and when i dogfight, it will be glorious.
++++
time to cook meself a nice dinner and try to figure out how to keep the orchids that buckykatt666 gave me alive. the longest a plant has ever lived, while under my care/neglect, was one month. hopefully this one will live longer. i named it chainsaw.

And for some practical stuff: Keep it moist but not soggy. Usually this involves a dish with a little water in it, some rocks in the dish, and the pot on the rocks so it sits over the water but not *in* the water...
