Summa "muddy" fieldayze - The Aftermath!
Well what can I say! Muddyfieldayze was off the hook! It was an absolute mud slinging, mud wallowing good time. Did I mention there was mud there? Lots of mud! Yay! The drive down was usual. As I approached Southport it started to rain. All that was going through my mind at that stage was the festival was gonna be a washout. But as I took the exit off the freeway the rain stopped, much to my relief. The traffic heading into Southport was bumper to bumper. Which wasn't surprising as half of those cars were heading towards the festival. I finally found a car spot and parked. It was bout a 2km walk from there to the venue.
They had barricaded the road half way to the venue cuz a punter got killed last year. There were shuttle buses ferrying people to the site but they were unable to cope with the sheer amount of festival goers. They finally opened up the road block and allowed punters to walk the rest of the way to the festival. The anticipation was killing me!
There was a huge smile on my face as I walked through the front gates. The thump from the bass bins echoed through venue. I grab a program from the table next to gate and examined it. Sister Bliss (Faithless) was playing at the Summa Dayzes Stage. I proceeded over feeling the vibrations getting stronger and strong in my chest as I approached the huge dome stage that had been erected.

Sister Bliss dropped some tribally progressive grooves for the cheering fans.

De La Soul wooed the crowd with their lyrical skillz.

Some random dancing in the mud.

The sun broke through the clouds as Underworld's Born Slippy peaked. At that moment everything was perfect! It was awesome.
Off to the Field Day stage to check out the Stanton Warriors. They teased the crowd with their mix of electro breakbeats.

Stanton Warriors on the 1s and 2s.

Shot of the crowd from the Field Day stage.

Hands in the air.
The bar was well managed. You didn't have to wait more than 10 mins to order your drinks. I also purchased some herbal e that they were selling at the Happy High Herbs Tent, which wasn't too bad. More of a subtle high. Not as intense as a chemical e.

The venue at night, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso, and Felix the House Cat on at the Field Day stage.

Local DJ Mag00 bangin' out the tekky grooves at the Met Tent.

The end of an awesome day! SUMMAFIELDAYZE! WOOT! Bring on SFD 2009!
