I cooked a little, got to watch DadLaRock (or is it Dad2020?) barely get through without tears, met KikiBH and MrGoose, (they rule), saw cklarock wear a suit, Sophie almost loose it during the ceremony, and I grinned like a Cheshire Cat the...

Sigh.
One of the girls' mother is Italian, so I had her translate everything into Italiano for me.

Shocked, in fact.
Kansas? You'd best believe you'll see me there. Good people in that state. Damn good people. And you can bet your bottom dollar that you'll see me tomorrow night as well.
Just wanted to share that rambling bit of info.
HOWEVER, I'm pretty sappy, and I'm really sad right now....

I have an X-box 360 with your name on it!
but you worked, used your influence to create art and joy. Without question, that's leaving a mark - a positive one at that. The mark neither fades nor becomes more prominent if you stay on to look after it.
^ This is why all his clients won't mind paying $120.00 an hour to get their hair did. Eidolon is right as usual.
You left your mark on the experiences of all the satisfied customers, other cooks that were nurtured or mentored along, and in maintaining (and elevating) the prestige of the institution. You can be satisfied with how you steered the ship.
That said, if you were CEO of something instead of Executive Chef of something, your exit bonus would be 4.3 Million dollars instead of a"thanks for the hard work and keep in touch."
In totally unrelated news, Sophie and I were trying to come up with a list of the 5 most important punk...

Other than that, no argument from me.
It was really good, and then I went to see Bayside and the Smoking Popes. In the suit that I wore to dinner.
My friend Patrick told me I looked stupid, but I think I looked like a very well-dressed sweaty guy.
Thanks
Everyone who knew my mother has strong memories of her: Hers was not a small personality. For all of her faults, she was a loving and fiercly protective mother, and I will remain forever grateful for the lessons she taught me.
I got through this week with...

nate left for the world of competitive eating?
circumstances aside, that's a fucking drag. as luck would have it, you're really damn good and, exhausting though i'm sure it is, i'm sure your new #1 will be up to speed in no time. hope you've found a good person to fill the clogs.
mondays would most certainly be best. i can't stand the idea of a crowded weekend visit. mondays are nice and chill - sandwiched between lunatic weekends and the free admission tuesdays infested with schoolgroups. i love me the kids, just not when they're turned loose by the hundreds in a museum. ok - well, i love them then too, but monday still sounds capitol.
beauty school doesn't start for a month - maybe a little more ($$, yo). once it begins, my mondays are shot, but i don't anticipate a conflict.
Every single word that CK has found in his mailbox is meant for you as well. Though my family's circumstances were their own, you know I've walked the path. Anything you need - simple or heavy - you know where to find a friend and a friend knows where to find you.
A quiet hug of true understanding is waiting.
I guess I'll survive, but the world is a much scarier place without him.
And I didn't even pay! My friends Tom and Julie took me to dinner, and he had a shitload of points from AMEX that he turned into gift cards or something.
Dinner was GREAT, but bittersweet, because I found out Tom is going to take a job as...

I missed out on Living Colour last night at HOB. Lameness. Other plans wound up biting me in the fleshiest part of my ass. Flavah.
I hate do do this too you, but I'm not gonna be able to do the Coheed and Cambria show. Gonna be spending a day or 2 in NYC with a friend then driving back here with him for the xmas. I thought he was gonna travel after the 20th, but I'm most likely going to be out there the 18th.
In other news, I'm lobbying heavily for my family going to Vivere sometime around the xmas. We really don't make a big deal out of the 25th, so we usually treat ourselves to a bit of gastronomic hedonism. We've done chop houses in the past, but I'm pretty fucking sick of that.
So here I am. What's your stance on the condiment issue?
I hope you're doing well!
