So, I have started taking this course in Greek and Roman Mythology. Thoroughly fascinating stuff. Not really my bag, I have been far more into Asian philosophy and history than any of the European stuff. But this is quite interesting Very well crafter storytelling, very wekll crafted theoganies. Quite remarkable for the day in age they were written. For the sense of cohesiveness that is found, it kind of blows my mind. Of course it is largely misogynistic crap, but there are some strong female characters... and everyone is having sex with everyone it seems, except Persephone and Hera... Zeus is father to thosands of bastard children, as is Herakles... makes you wonder where all our sexual repressions and hang ups came from if our philosophical nature is inherited from the Eurpoeans, as is most often the case with North America...
