As we head into Thanksgiving I realize that I have a ton to be thankful for. How about a list, you say? Why, sure!

- I am loved. I have wonderful friends and a wonderful family, and my best friend in the whole world just happens also to be in love with me (and I with him). It's really exciting to be talking about the future, and how we're going to make our different long-term goals work out. He is the only man in my life to treat me as a partner, and to give my life equal weight with his.

- I am good at my job. This is the first time I've actually gotten to put the word "Sommelier" after my name as a title, and not just as a qualification (getting my second pin meant that I get to put "CS" or "Certified Sommelier" after my name, but I haven't been hired for the job of sommelier until this year). I am valued by my bosses, and there is something really fun about knowing that I am better at this job then the two men who came before me.

- I am healthy. I am sure that a big part of it comes from the fact that the rest of my life is going well, but it's really exciting that I've had such a long stretch of good health. I haven't stayed out of the hospital for such a long stretch since high school.


I'm also thankful for the friendships I've made as a result of this site. You people mean a whole lot to me. What are you thankful for?
