What an awesome weekend!!!
We couldn't have asked for better weather. The ride up there was great, the ride back was great, just an all around great weekend.
The ride started out on a bad but funny note though. We get started from Dave's house riding north on Lexington, towards hwy 96. There are some cones on the road and some construction going on. I start to feel like my bike is being sluggish for some reason. I turn onto 96 and check my bag I have strapped to my back fender. It was NOT where it should have been! Somehow the bungie (yes I only had 1 bungie on it... I learned my lesson) either came loose or the bag just fell back from the vibration of the road bumps and stuff. It was between the fender and the rear tire! I honk my horn at the other guys cause I was at the back of the pack, but they didn't turn around. They thought I was just excited about riding cause Anne honked hers a few times and threw her fist in the air. Anyway I stop on the side of the road to assess the damage.
Here is what I brought on the trip that was in the bag... toothpaste, toothbrush, cologne, deoderant, small sissors, hair gook, bottle of asperin, 2 t-shirts, shorts, boots, 2 pair of socks and underwear, camera case with extra battery.
This is what was salvaged... toothpaste cologne, hair gook, boots (although the laces were thrashed), 1 pair of socks, camera case was just slightly damaged (my camera was in my shirt pocket while I was riding. I would have been really upset if something happened to it)
I bought a travel toothbrush, but basicly had only my jeans I wore up on the trip and the 2 shirts to change into. It kinda sucked but it was still funny.

The rest of the ride however was just grand! Dwight and I started to take some pictures while we were riding. I ended up taking some video without knowing cause I didn't check the camera setting possisition befor I started taking pictures. It's kinda difficult to do on a bike. Turns out the video I did take was pretty cool. We stopped a few times for gas on the way up but finally got there! Boy was I tired! That is the longest ride I had ever done... not bad for the first season of riding I think. We got to the Inn we were staying at cleaned up a bit and went to get something to eat. Walked around the shore a bit, and then back to the Inn. Cleaned up again and took a little nap. Woke up around 8:30 walked to the liquer store, got some beer, ate some food, had an awesome margarita at baja billy's, Dwight dropped his...he was sad.
While walking back to the Inn an extremely cute girl smiled and said hi... I said hi back but kept walking cause I didn't feel like chasing her around town. Dave and Lynda ended up going to bed right away, Anne seemed really tired, so I took some beers and went to the roof balcony. (it was really to give Anne and Dwight some booty time cause we were sharing a room. Turns out Dwight came up not much later... guess Anne was really tired!
Got kicked off the balcony cause it closes at 11pm. Walked and talked around the parking lot, took some pictures, talked with the manager who talked our ear off. I think we finally hit the beds around 1am.
*sorry... this post is longer than intended*
Woke up the next day and Dave and I rode to Target so I could get a new bag and he could get some allen wrenches to tighten up his gas tank. Got back and everyone else was ready to go. Said later to the manager and we were off!
Stopped a couple times to get food and gas. Dave and Lynda stayed on 61 while Dwight, Anne, and I took hwy 95 into stillwater. Stopped for some coffee at taylors falls, rode into stillwater, got some mroe gas and headed home.
SHIT!! I almost forgot... I got the bike up to 100mph on the way up. Fastest I've ever been on a vehicle!! it was way fun!

Was N.I.N a good show to see live? They are going to be coming to SA, and I was wanting to try and see them, but I wasn't going to sweat it if they suck live.
