Birthday over. Birthday partying over. Long, slow, painful recovery from birthday party not quite over but the important part's dealt with. Thanks to all who sent birthday wishes, now let's take a moment to see how I'm doing as the last year of my 20's gets underway.
1) Work. Got two raises this year, one just this month, so I'm pleased with that. Still may have to seek out a new job, but maybe not as soon as I'd feared.
2) Theatre. Spy Who Left Me was a moderate success, and got us 9 Calgary ACTS nominations. No awards, but now they've caught our scent and may start coming in larger numbers. That'd be grand. Two Guys started slow, but it's picking up. Seriously, people, the sooner you come see it the sooner Masquerade and I will leave you be.
3) Travel. Returned to Barcello Maya in January, next year off to Cuba. No fringe tour, but hit PAX down in Seattle. All in all, acceptable.
4) Friends. Met several cool and fabulous people, through this site and otherwise, that I'm now quite attached to. Yes, a couple are broken in ways I've never experienced before, but I love them just the same. Some perhaps too much. (relax, it's not you)
5) Love? Um... no.
Okay... 29 now... nothing to do but try and figure out a way to celebrate 30 Brian Kinney style. No I'm not explaining that.
