We interrupt Danny G's Tales of Adventure (if, in fact, anyone was following them) for a gratuitous plug.
Come one, come all to Two Guys, a Couch, and the Fate of the World! Here's the pertinent info, stolen directly from Masquerade's journal...
When: Sept. 14 2 pm, Sept. 14-17 8 pm, Sept. 21-24 8 pm
Where: The Easterbrook Theatre, Building A3, 2633 Hochwald Ave. SW, Calgary, Alberta
Synopsis: Top Secret Agent Dirk Rhombus is out to save the world from a deadly weather satelliteor, rather, top Canadian agent Janet DuBois is out to save the world from a deadly virusor possibly some sort of combination. It all depends if playwrights Phil and Chris can stop bickering long enough to write the script. It's a spy comedy and a look at the writing process all in one, from non-bickering (sort of) playwrights Jason Garred and Dan Gibbins.
And for Cilantro and anyone else who needs them, directions to the theatre:
1) Take Crowchild southbound
2) Take the exit marked Flanders Avenue. This spits you out at a set of traffic lights.
3) Turn right at the lights. This takes you past a gate with a guy in a box. You don't have to say anything to the guy or pay or anything like that.
4) Turn right onto Quesnay Wood Drive. This is the second opportunity to turn right after the guy in the box.
5) a) Turn right on Dieppe Avenue. The parking lot is on the left hand side of the road a little ways down. Should you miss this,
b) Turn right on Hochwald Avenue. In this case the parking lot is on your right.
Call (403)-999-2024 or e-mail scorpio.info@shaw.ca for more info and to book tickets.
Of course, if you just read her version, you'd think her new pants suit was her best costume, but I guarantee you this is not the case. What else is there? Well, you'll just have to come and see, won't you?
Also relevant: if you glance to the left, you'll see my birthday's coming up. Next Friday, actually. And yes, there's a show that night that I fully expect to be followed by drinking, carousing, and weeping for my lost youth. You know you want a piece of that action. Or, if you're low and funds and don't work in the afternoon, there's a 2-for-1 matinee on Wednesday the 14th at 2:00.
And as I expected, there's no longer room for Tales of Adventure or even Anecdotes of Geekery. Next time, next time...

But you didn't die this year, I guess that's good enough."
