So. 2005. Let's review.
2004 has ended, so how did it go? Let's see...
First and foremost, 2004 was the year I finally got over my ex. As our anniversary approached, I realised spending it brooding held all the appeal of a trip to the fabric store. (That's none, FYI)
The spring brought hope for new love and new possibilities... which were crushed by fall. Now... I don't exactly embrace solitude, but it holds no terror either.
I finished my first solo Big Wacky comedy script, Heracles: the Mythologically Accurate Adventures, and toured it across Canda (with, amongst others, JDRook, if you're curious). This would be the greatest success of my theatrical career, and one of the best experiences I've had in recent years.
I also did three other new scripts, each one difficult to produce in its own way, be it far too many set changes (Very Long Night of Tyler and Selena), nude scenes (U-Boat of the Soul), or good old-fashioned religious controversy and copyright infringement (Jesus Vs. Superman).
What comes next?
What I hope for is a change in the landscape, some aspect of my life to shift, a sign of a new beginning. Someone new? Something different? I don't know. But maybe, just maybe, it's out there.
My resolution for 2005: Stop letting fear control my life. The things worth doing always scare me, and I've had it.
That being said, I'm gonna make another attempt at catching up with the SGCanada West folks from the Calgary New Year's party I had to miss for work. Will I succeed? Or just freeze my hair again? Who knows?
Ta for now,
-Danny G
When you search for something, dont find it. Because when you find it, it has rabies.

I have read American Gods. I think I've read most of his stuff by now, actually. It's just that those happen to be my favorites. I think Neil Gaiman is brilliant.
