And so the holiday weekend draws to a close. Some highlights...
Gaming with the Stewarts on the 24th. 90's Trivial Pursuit made its debut, and like every year, we laughed until we wept. Good times.
Dinner with the Pontings etc. on the 25th. God but I love roast turkey. Scattergories appeared, and despite some forceful debates on what was acceptable, good times had by all.
Today, hit Tim Mac's for a round of Civilization the board game with him and the Reverend. The usual debates over what, exactly, constitutes an act of war that were strangely less forceful than whether or not "dewdrops" counted as something cold the night before.
Soon it's back to work. But for now, another round of Betrayal at the House on the Hill. I understand those who dislike this time of year, and those who dislike family occasions... I'm just not one of them. This is the time of year I actively enjoy being with my family, and one of the few times I ever see my brother these days. We get along much better now that we've both moved out and there's no feuding over the car or the waterbed (also gone).
Be back soon, but I think that'll do for now. Hope the day finds you well/improves at least a little.
