Today's word is "Hectic."
Life has been hectic enough lately that I haven't been able to un-emo my journal. I spoke of needing a win last time: well, get comfy, there's much to report.
While my condo has been an almost immeasurable improvement over my old apartment, two things that have plagued me since I moved in. First, my TV signal has been staticy. Second, as part of the fire alarm system there is a speaker in my bedroom that crackled constantly, apparently as a constant test to see if it was on. Last week I finally got to the bottom of my cable issue: replacing the right cord fixed it. The same night, that speaker stopped crackling. Don't know why, not really questioning it.
That my TV is clear again and I can sleep without earplugs would be win enough, but the next day I received word that Scorpio Theatre has been accepted into the Edmonton Fringe festival. After three years, we finally have a Fringe tour again. So if you're in the Saskatoon, Edmonton, Calgary, or possibly Winnipeg area, look for Sacrilicious! to hit your town next summer. Whee fun!
In other news, Scorpio's going to be in Edmonton on December 15th for the Apocalypse Kow Kristmas Kabaret. Michele, AC and I (with assistance from Masquerade will be giving Edmonton an advance taste of Sacrilicious! by performing my award-winning afterlife comedy At The Gates. Hope to see some of you there, especially since I imagine some of you were already going.
So this means I need to rehearse a show in a week and a half, while auditioning for Three Musketeers and stage managing a sword fight, then write the last part of Sacrilicious! and two scripts for next season with the hope that one of them will be performable. This means that the next few months are from a creative standpoint, going to be extremely hectic.
And that's the word.

If not, we could start a bit before we rehearse on Sunday.
