Coming to you live from the Edmonton thunderstorm.
About to wrap up my '06 fringe experience. Saw a veritable assload of shows, with or without JDRook and/or Masquerade & her man, came across carla and glass_cat on occasion.
My own Calgary Fringe show wrapped up on Saturday. It went well. You should've seen it, it was cool. Looking forward to rehearsals starting for the next one.
And let me tell you, nothing is quite as cool as being in the opening night crowd... of Snakes on a Plane. We had a group of enthusiasts show up with plush snakes wrapped around them, who then proceeded to hurl rubber snakes to the crowd. So every time snakes appeared, or Sam Jackson did something cool, we could cheer loudly and wave our snakes. It was the sort of visceral group reaction you rarely see outside of Rocky Horror. An amazing experience that made this Bad Movie everything we could have hoped for and more.
Soon I leave for PAX. You'll hear from me again before long this time, I assure you.
