First, let me say that any of y'all here in Calgary should think about hitting the Pumphouse One-Act festival Friday night. Sure, you could go on other nights, but then you wouldn't get to see the world premiere of Jesus Vs. Superman, and who knows when it'll turn up next?
So once again, we did the Big Scorpio Oscar Party. And all in all, it went well. Most importantly, for the first time in six years I won the pool. Hells yes. Nobody predicted Crash winning best picture, but I say kudos. I haven't seen Brokeback Mountain yet, but I thought Crash was excellent and I'm always in favour of props for Paul Haggis. You might know him as the writer of Million Dollar Baby, or not at all, but to me he's the creator of Due South, one of my all-time favourite TV shows. The first two seasons are amazing and you should seek them out.
Seems something else must have happened since last I spoke to y'all. Let me think here.
Hm.
Since late February.
Hang on, I can do this...
Finally finished my goal of rewatching all of Buffy the Vampire Slayer at work. It was a good ride... got a little melancholy at the end, as I believe I did three years back when the last season aired.
Thought I had more than that. Ah well. Next time, perhaps.
