So, yes, New Year's.
The SG Canada West party was much fun. Saw some people I've not seen since Canada Day, plus met some new fun members. One of them had even seen Heracles, which is always neat. I have photos, but haven't figured out how to resize them yet. When I manage that, I'll post them, and we can all rejoice in JDRook's muttonchops, couch piles, and _rue and Agenda's dancing.
After that was my friend's ninth annual New Year's Day dinner party. It was fun, saw an old friend I've seen once since he moved out east... as well as my ex and her new guy, but that's neither here nor there. Masquerade made her delicious chicken curry soup, the hosts made a chicken casserole that was yummy... but hot. Very hot. Not realizing how hot it would be, I ended up severly burning the inside of my mouth. Two days later it still hurts to eat. I might try just avoiding it tomorrow.
In other news, my old computer's hard drive seems to be beyond my usual tech support's (Masquerade's fiance, if you must know) ability to recover, so I must bid farewell to much of my precious data. Between the entire executive of Scorpio, we've salvaged pretty much my entire body of work, Masquerade can help me recover my e-mail address book (by and large), so I'm honestly not sure what data I'll actually miss... except for some saved e-mails and a few digital photos I hadn't printed. So we'll see how that goes.
Today brought highs and lows... a relatively harmless shift, a four episode Lost marathon with a lady friend, a merely adequate pizza that it hurt to eat, and some sweet, sweet girl-on-girl action starring one of my faves, GoGo. And _rue has gone and posted a picture of me that's either an atrocity or the best picture of me on this site. Actually, I'm pretty sure it's both. Right. I'm-a head off now.
"What would be the point in killing you, if we are both already dead?"

For the record, I don't intend to let another year pass without seeing one of your plays. I'm kinda appalled with myself for not making it to one of them yet.
