What does one do when coming down with a cold? Lots of vitamin c? Tons of water? Green or chamomille tea with honey? Plenty of rest? All of the above are well received and heeded, however, I like to throw in my little twist. Plenty of Sam Adams Boston Lager and grilled cheese sandwiches with tomato soup. I feel better already! biggrin

I don't really have much of a lust for life right now. I'm sure it'll pass, everyone goes through ups and downs.
It's a shame, really. I usually am the one rounding everyone up, getting them excited about an event or just planning shin-digs and whatnot. I've become something of a hermit, on the inside looking out. I feel like a stranger in my own...

Why don't you send the newest guy in your command to base legal to pick up a stack of ID10T forms. It always cheered me up. Something about the look of betrayal in their eyes... I was the nice sergeant. Bwahaha!

I know exactly how you feel. I've been very hermitty lately as well. surreal

The fraud department at my bank saw the light and deposited the $1400+ that was stolen and all the overdraft fees that I incurred because of said theft. I now feel like less of a victim. I wouldn't want anyone to go through that kind of situation...I felt so exposed and unsafe. I don't want to feel that way again.
I should feel like I'm...

I had $1475 stolen from my checking account recently. I am in shock. Quick backstory: I am stationed overseas so snail-mail takes twice as long to get delivered. Well, when I checked my mail yesterday I had an overdraft notice from my bank back home. I was expecting a charge or two due to changes in my pay, and whatnot, but what I read was...

I feel your pain on the long-distance communications with banks back home. I am near paranoid about using my card overseas, so I always ask for receipts & pay with cash when I can manage.

Who do you bank with? I've got a Military account with Bank of America, and I opened a local savings account here in Tokyo to squirrel away my COLA for a rainy day. smile

I hope you get all your cash back, and soon! It sucks that it had to happen so close to Christmas.

I injured myself while working today. I was kicking a wheel on some aircraft support equipment to lock it in place when I kicked a little too hard, missing my target completely. Instead, I hit the frame as hard I could with the top of my foot. I am now suffering the consequenses of my klutzy and uncoordinated behavior. Needless to say, my right foot...

I absolutely adore my nephew, Peyton. He's a 15 month old bundle of giggles, love and joy. It breaks my heart that my sister lives across the pond and I won't get to spend time with her or my little munchkin anytime soon. Anyhoo...I'm referred to as 'Aunt Sissy.' It's easier for a baby to learn and say then 'Aunt Danielle.' Well, while talking on...

Just wait until they get older you will be doing things like this with him....

I really do love that kid, here is a good photo of him snowboarding last year.

Ahhh, the proud uncle. I feel like I just pulled out my wallet full of photographs. hehe.

Weather in Germany is weird. Straight up unusual. In the span of my 15hour day (it started at 3:30 am and it's now 6pm) I have experienced sunshine, rain, wind, rain and wind, rain and hail, rain with wind and sunshine and now just wind and sunshine (sunset). I compare it to someone with severe personality disorder who isn't taking their prescribed lithium.

I am not a morning person. It takes me awhile to get up and moving around, plus I need a mega-dose of caffiene to feel human. I do, however, enjoy the quiet stillness of the morning. Just before the sun starts to rise, before most people are even in the early stages of consciousness. I appreciate the small gift of solitude and beauty before I...

I've been feeling intolerant lately. Not towards anyone in particular, just towards whiners and douchebags. I'm not a fan of people who don't take responsiblity for their own actions. I've been hearing 'it's not my fault,' and 'so and so is out to get me' and other similar complaints a lot recently and it makes me want to go on a beatdown spree complete with...

Sometimes, ranting is called for.

And I think if the ranting keeps you from taking the time-honored Louisville slugger upside someone's head... it is well worth it. Especially to the one or ones who would otherwise be having tee-ball played with their heads. wink
