A while back I posted a teaser video of me getting a new tattoo. I just realized I never followed up with actual pictures. Here's what I got:
It is a symbol from the TV show Twin Peaks. It's based on the logo for The Bookhouse Boys, a secret society dedicated to fighting evil. Members receive a patch with this logo, as seen here in the show:
This tattoo balanced out my other Twin Peaks-related tattoo:
... which is the Owl Cave symbol, representing a number of themes in the series ("Fire Walk With Me", "The owls are not what they seem"), but foremost, it is the pathway to the Black Lodge; an evil place, where one's spirit must pass through, on the way to perfection. There, you will meet your own shadow self. If you confront the Black Lodge with imperfect courage, it will utterly annihilate your soul.

Obviously, I am a bit of an obsessive nut for that show. Given that the it only ran for two seasons, 20 years ago, I don't expect that I'll ever run into anyone that knows what my tatts mean. That's okay, I didn't get it for anyone but me, anyway.
