I love this class. I just finished writing the 3rd and last paper for the course.
Paper #1: I spent the whole paper bashing organized religion. Well, technically that just sorta happened as a side bonus. The point of the paper was to show that humanity's inflated sense of self-importance has infiltrated its way into our both our art and sciences. That, and showing that the previous sentence was redundant in that art reflects the science of its day and vice versa.
Paper #2: I proved that as a scientist, I'm a member of the clergy. Basically, I was saying that any system that claims to describe reality is at best a partially fictitious system, and that even science is little more than a pretty fiction that happens to work.
Paper #3: I showed that cultural tolerance is a direct result of the theory of relativity, or at least that they are both derived from the same fundamental shift in perception around the early 20th century. Also, I used a Monty Python reference.
I'm also getting far too good at this game. I forgot I even had to write a paper until I was in one of my classes this morning. I started flipping through Relativity looking for ideas at about 5pm. I left to go see a movie at 6:45pm and got back at around 10pm because we got food afterwards. I realized that I had filled up 3 pages of a 3-4 page paper at 11:30... and I hadn't double spaced it yet.
On the bright side, my motivation and willpower are back.

In other news, Andreaandrea has the CUTEST puppy ever (assuming it's hers):
