Vegas was fun. Probably the first time ive gone, in a long time, that i didnt end up depressed at some point.
I always go, and at some point during the trip, i get depressed that either i dont have enough money to do the things i want to do, or that i'm single. Vegas can definitly bring out depressing thoughts if you let it.
But, i was prepared as far as the money goes. I knew i wasnt going to have much to spend, and i didnt gamble much, essentially losing what little i did have, which is what i usually tend to do.
We went to the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay and saw Rancid and H20. H20 was great, even though i only know a handful of their songs. And since there was only the one opening band, Rancid came out and played for 2 hours straight. 40+ songs. We were right in the front too, right at the barricade between the audience and the stage. Great times... other than the weird dude who was gone on ecstasy who kept feeling up on himself and poking everyone around him.
The last day, we went to Gold and Silver pawn shop, from the TV show Pawn Stars. Pretty cool. The store was super packed though, so we really didnt get to spend any decent time looking at any of the stuff they had for sale. And the only person i recognized from the show was the big black dude who sits by the front door for security. I think the main "cast" doesnt show up anymore unless they are filming. The spot where they sit at their desks was even empty. As in, no desks even. But still, it was cool to walk thru there and check it out
All in all, probably one of the better Vegas trips ive been on.

Took this pic of my dad's dog today
Their cat is still around. I got a little bit of a scare today though. She was sleeping, and i bent down to pet her, and i stroked her fur several times and she didnt respond. My heart skipped a beat and i thought she was gone. But she woke up after i called for my dad. And she was as alert as ever. She's getting weaker though. She doesnt seem to be suffering, just slowly going of old age. I wont be surprised if she's gone by the end of the month. I've come to terms with it. I spend time with her when i see her, and i say goodbye everytime i leave. It's still gonna be sad, but i'd like to see her at rest now

You sure your cats not suffering? Also have you picked up any of the new DC52 books? Swamp Thing was amazing. Easily the best book of the week.
