I don't really know where to start with the absurdity and by-numbers narrative and characterisation of The Day After Tomorrow, but I dare say you've all seen it by now anyway and don't need me to tell you how stupid it is.
It's been a strange couple of days with no access to my office as they're replacing the carpets. Homeless, aimless, discombobulated, I've been dividing my time between the library, the park and the student computer clusters. Oh, and the cinema, of course, always the cinema. The cinema is where I go when I run out of options, when I'm feeling bored, lonely, tired, cold, sad, restless, homesick for a home I don't have. I have felt, I do feel at home in cinemas the world over. It's like Mark Eitzel's description of a good bar: 'just the comfort of the dark and being forgotten...'
************
PS - I finally got around to putting a picture in my pics! It's not a picture of me, but of my place of work, taken at night and looking all spooky. Unfortunately the picture is tiny and crappy-looking cos I took it on my phone, so you'll barely be able to see it. I do have a bigger phone with a better camera and a USB lead, so I'll hopefully sometime get around to taking and uploading some better pictures...

Excellent...one picture is certainly better than no pictures at all! My usual places of hiding are similar to yours: libraries (two within walking distance & the dues have been cleared up ), cinemas (three within five miles) and the most dangerous being...used bookstores! All sense of control nearly gets pitched out the window save money for coffee.

I wish to restore your faith in me. I have a lot of favorite actresses. Jill was the only one I had a quick picture of and while she look like a hollywood robot, she is slightly left of center and by hollywoods standards not that good of an actress. But, my all time favorite is Gena Rowlands. Again, slightly off center, but real in a very unreal sort of way. Have you seen any of her work? Particulally with her husband John Casavettes?
