Ok, so things are what they are. I got my furniture yesterday and have 35 boxes of stuff to unpack. When I finally got my sleeping area unpacked I could not wait to stop sleeping on the floor with an air mattress and sleep comfortably. I went to bed last night before 10 PM and woke up this morning a little before 8. I haven't spend that much time in bed in many years, I guess a few weeks of bad or no sleep finally caught up with me.
I am not impressed with Comcast Cable here, their channelization of the cable looks like a 3 year old did it and has no rhyme or reason to it. One HBO is on channel 14 and the rest are in the 400's. You have to place look and see for the major TV networks, they are all over the place. Very poorly thought out and not logical at all.
I gave the clerk at the post office my mail forwarding cards last Wednesday and as of today no mail has yet caught up with me. I have people screaming at me to ship their orders but their payment have not arrived.
I like my apartment and am getting used to the area. I went to Olive Garden the other day, haven't been to one in about 2 years, and got their new 5 cheese marinara, fucking awesome.
I bought gas on Wednesday morning at the station right next to IHOP where I had breakfast. I paid $2.55, this morning it was at $2.99. The refineries are only one of the problems, the mom driving SUV's to the grocery store because they are safer is one of the causes, HUMMERS have no practical use, and the big truck like SUV's for guys with small dicks is another. If you need a truck like that for work, good, but to be macho and use gas like water is just fucking stupid.
There was a report about trade in sales in the Denver last weekend of the big gas guzzlers, about 200 of them were traded, and the wholesale price offered to get them was down 15-20% from the week before. Now if Detroit would get it's collective head out of it's ass and stop making them some of the problem would go away.
There was a quote in USA Today on Wednesday from some clown at GM saying that the rising gas price will not affect their sales. Yes it wont, you didnt fucking sell any last week and so not selling any this week is not a change.
I go out to breakfast every day, the IHOP has decent food and a staff that knows how to work, and they are all young, I think the oldest server might be 21.
