Some years ask, some answer.
It's good to see this weekend opening with such clarity. This has been a surprisingly productive week, for the first week of September anyway. To clarify (and sorry for the overshare, but if I can't talk about it on Suicide Girls, where the hell can I?) if humans go through heat, mine is Spring. Aside from the obvious, everything sort of has it's volume turned up. I'll get stressed over the tiniest things, I'm hungry all the fucking time and buzzing off about five hours sleep. So Spring is usually a pretty intense time for me with the dim light of my birthday and new years at the end of the tunnel.
This year something else has come into play, I basically haven't stopped drawing and writing since Monday. I've done 4 fairly big pieces of fan art and half of a tattoo design for my sister. Anyone could probably take a pretty educated guess at what the fan art is, and I'm dying to post it here but I want to hold back until they're all finished. Four out of twelve of them are done, then I can get started on the heroes. I've never seriously drawn characters who aren't mine (apart from the RizzoFord as Harley Quinn one) so it's been pretty good fun. I had the first draft of my comic chapters done before heading away so I've had the time for it and it's been a fun little project so far. I'll try to have it finished in a week or so.
The tat design for my sister is based off something I drew ages ago and these days think looks like shit and wouldn't translate well to a tattoo anyway. But she somehow found it and wants to get it inked so I kind of have to redo it. A family member getting a tattoo designed is kind of nerve wrecking as if I'm not happy with it I'll have to see it for the rest of my life too. And while I'm on the topic, my mum's asked me to design her a dragon tattoo with an ohm symbol as well. Her basic description was "if John Butler was a dragon" which still just makes me think of Trogdor.
And that was quite the word-splurge.
Peace.
