The imagery is mad-awesome... But I'm not sure if the font is really pulling me in. It's a rad font, but I'm not sure if it compliments the imagery or not... I will think about this...

Super awesome. Yay! Brownie and I wrote music on Thursday night. We're going to have three songs finished by the end of this month and then upload them onto our myspace.

Something jumped out recently and kicked me square in the nostalgia.

1999 was ten years ago.

Movies like Fight Club, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, The Matrix, Austin Powers, Sleepy Hollow and Girl, Interrupted are all ten years old. So are albums like Californication, The Fragile, Make Yourself, Scenes from a Memory, The The Unauthorized Biography of Reinhold Messner, The Battle for LA and...

Everything you've said I completely agree with.

The author's a Mormon which explains several things. And the child, well, you'll see when you get there. The author tries to explain vampires and werewolves through genetics but she doesn't understand the scientific principles so it makes no sense. You'll laugh, seriously.

Another big problem is that NO-ONE IS DISCUSSING THESE BOOKS EXCEPT TEENS!!! And it's all: I love the books, how awesome, Edward is so HOT!!!!!!11111" etc etc and not any further discussion. I would actually be really happy if the books were placed on a reading list at high school because then people would discuss these things.

It's a new year, and has been for a while now, apparently.

Thanks to Christmas, I have embarrassing amounts of alcohol in my apartment.

I'm enjoying the almost childlike buzz of learning something new.

I've resolved to finish a first draft of one project, get a second off the ground, and actually read everything on my bookshelf.

2009 is my first year...

Link to awards' info is here. It starts at 6:30pm so I think you'd have plenty of time to enjoy a good chunk of the party. You'll definitely get to see the awards ceremony itself, I think. There's other stuff on this weekend too! Let me know if you're keen. I'm definitely in and hoping to be a judge at the following year.

K, I'm off to the coast for two nights to get drunk with one of my best friends (current Galaga record holder at Ric's bar), my crazy biker lesbian mother and her cancer-surviving girlfriend, my 24 year old angsty teen sister and her tabletop-gaming boyfriend.

You can't write that shit.

Now you just need to persuade the man to let you wear that at work!

Ric's unplugs the Galaga machines and erases the high scores after closing. Bastards.

And no that wasn't me, although the description sounds pretty accurate minus the hat part - I never wear one.

Yesterday, after four years of study (some part time some full time) I handed in my final assignment. It weighed in at 151 pages. 55 creative work, 91 edits of other student's work, and the rest for title pages. I printed it the night before and set it all up nicely in a display folder, then cracked open a bottle of wine right then and...

I'll know in a few weeks or so if I've got the job, of course I took them up on the offer - I'd have been dumb to refuse it! tongue

I've been putting off blogging this week, as having 10 comments on my last post has made me feel loved with every time I logged in. But 4am on a Saturday morning seems as good a time as any.

It's beginning to sink in that by this time next week, I will no longer be a uni student. But this has come with several very...

Friend of mine just bailed on a concert we'd been planning to go to for months. I can't exactly blame him, he needs to get his thesis finished and he's put too much work into it to stumble at the last hurdle. Still, can't help but feel like I'm all dressed up in reggae and there's no hippies to dance with.

It'll be a great...
