Paula Radcliffe came second today in the Crescent City Classic 10k frown Only a buildup race for her on her way to the FLM though.

Lord Callaghan has died on the eve of his 93rd birthday just 11 days after his wife Audrey died aged 91. "When home secretary, he ordered British troops to march into the streets of Belfast to protect Catholic civilians amid rising...

chancy:
boo for you saying you're unattractive in abadinfluence's journal. and no i'm not stalking you tongue

attractiveness is a state of mind... none of my boyfriends have been what you might call "conventionally attractive", but i thought they were the shiznit. their inner yum shone through whatever they looked like on the outside.

that's my 2 cents, even though you didn't ask for it. but you got it anyways! lucky you. kiss biggrin

You caved on the pictures? Hee! Aw. That might just be the nicest (and most indirect) compliment I've gotten today. Thanks.

Here is a hamster picture by way of appreciation:

Ok, so I'm turning the air blue at the TV whilst playing SOCOM2 but that should all end tomorrow when I take delivery of Brothers in Arms. Then I'll be turning the air blue at the TV whilst playing Brothers in Arms.

I can't believe it's Friday already tomorrow.

eeek

Looking through the Standard tonight in my hunt for employment I spied a small bit on...

I was actually trying to use as many stereotypical English turn of phrase in one post as I could, given lack of sleep.
Ok I take back the pompous.. smile

Don't know about the git part though.. biggrin

Thanks for commenting on my set!

Ok, so it's the weekend. I have a ton of things I'd be better off dealing with but I shall probably play SOCOM2 and swear a lot.

One good thing from yesterday, apart from reading Saya's journal, is that I know the designs I want for my forearm pieces. Well, almost/pretty much.

Thanks for the welcome.

...er.... "blimey" and "yoiks".... is there a British Colloquial To Canadian Slang dictionary in existence somewhere? Us colonials aren't up to speed with these sorts of things. In fact, last time I checked, we were still hunting beavers to keep up with your supply and demand of fashionably English top hats. wink

You certainly meet some alternate views on the Boards and in the Groups. Quite what they alternate with is the big question.

It's just a particular variety of black tea that the British seem to appreciate, and I appreciate quite a lot as well. It's nothing too special. You can get it in the grocery store.
venice:
Haha, it's okay. Heck, it's probably called something different over there anyway. I think it's the same tea that I found under my bed all the places I stayed when I was there, so it's probably the same thing you drink. I was stupid, and didn't look at your location before I replied to that. I drink it with milk and sugar, yes, and it's the only tea I drink with anything in it, because it's supposed to be that way, and I usually just poor hot water over a tea bag, but sometimes I am out and about and they only have it loose leaf. So either way, really.

I can't say I find Jap films a let down, I love the way they invade your comfort zone but its getting incresingly difficult to find anything that genuinely scares me anymore.... so if you have any
reccomendations.

I liked Audition, the slow pace was necessary to make the ending so taught, but agreed its not your typical Mike fare.

Have you seen ATale of Two Sisters? a really visually beautiful film & more intelligent than most.

good luck with the job hunt, its so easy to put things off...especially with this site whatever
djinn:
Yup, that would definately freak me out. lol

Tale of Two Sisters is Korean, that & Phone are the only Korean films ive seen. Phone is pretty bad frown
