Why is it that everything I get interested in and want to learn about cost so much money? argghh
Work is very slow at the moment and money very tight, I don't think I've ever been this short of money since I was 17.. sad but very true! More worryingly it's getting very close to our wedding in May and all the 1000's that go with it; but its all planned now and I couldnt break her heart by changing plans shes already made loads of cuts to try and save money I keep thinking I really need to sort my head out and get some money rolling in but seem completely unable to do so.
Ive never considered ourselves rich or well off but it is true that Ive worked all my life, been head-hunted, walked into any job I desired well until last May when I got made redundant and the market dried up. I dont miss the fast sports cars we had, or the slightly extravagant lifestyle we led, I just miss being able to make something worthwhile of myself and provide for us and our future. Im sure the problem is more in my head then market forces, one-year on its only becoming apparent what being made redundant did to my self-confidence; the complete inability to find a job I wanted afterwards just compounded the problem. Setting up on my own working from home was actually a really good idea in many respects except that Im not a sales or marketing man and am more interested in producing interesting and innovative ideas then getting a crap job, shutting up and making some money.
My latest thing is to start making use of this very expensive computer by getting into video editing, but need a camera that will cost around 1k Im still paying for the computer and so far in the last 30 days Ive taken 0.00! Somebody once said you have to spend money to accumulate wealth, but I would be grateful just to earn enough to live
Lifes lessons learnt:
* When youre offered an unconditional place at University, dont snub it and get a job so you can get a fast car get your arse in gear and get a degree.
* Dont assume you will never be unemployable, save for that day instead of spending it all on sports cars and a fast life.
* Dont fool yourself into thinking you can afford something when you cant or falsely justify it somehow.
When I was 16 in school I once said to a teacher I would either end up rich or in the gutter, I hope I wasnt wrong - as the gutter is looking very close these days! To add insult to injury the toilets just blocked and I think I need to go to the dentist arse!
PS> I promise I post a happy journal one day!

dentists are mean and evil people and i too need to go.
