Holy snapping duck shit! Tattoos hurt!


This is mine as it was happening. Bidie is fat because I'm slouching. From THE PAIN! This was about 4hrs into it (I only lasted a little longer than 4 before I asked my artist to stop). When he was colouring those leaves down on my ribs it just got too much. But he was understanding. This is my first ever tattoo after all.

I really like how it came out, I want some more red in the gumnuts (like in the first pic... only the red in that one is blood) and some more brown in the branch so that they look like they belong to the same plant. I love the bird, he looks so mischevious! And he's standing a little awkwardly just like they do. Teehee! I was worried by the whole 'it looks like the branch is coming out of my skin' bit at first, but I must admit, its growing on me.

Looks like I might be moving soon. Everything is in transition at the moment. Uni is done, looking for graduate work, getting a few interviews interstate. Surfing around on domain.com.au for apartments with gas cooking AND a bath. Making frocks from old butternick patterns I've inherited, trying to figure out how to turn lace into birdcage style netting for a hat (hairspray? What if it rains?). Trying to schedule another eye appointment. Watching 'The Big Bang Theory'. Blablabla life.
