Decided to go out solo for a couple of days on the long weekend. Just isabella (my awesome car) camera, tent, fishing rod and the lower glenelg and discovery national parks. Spent 3 days out there and had a blast. There is something about being bush all by yourself that is invigorating, dangerous and incredibly exciting all at the same time. Whenever I'm out bush...

Yeh... he isn't worth it. You are right. He has been hurtful over the course of our relationship too which makes it even more obvious that he is not worth it.
Thanks for the voice of reason.
It still hurts.. but in time I will get over it.
terome:
Amazing!!! I love seeing your photos..
Wow what a beautiful place to escape too..how far is that from your place? In Sydney I'd have to drive about 4hours to be able to find a place like that I think...

Im in a bit of dilemma really. I need to decide where I want to live soon. My options are here in Australia, United Arab Emirates or Canada. The deal is I want to give my friend Leah and I a chance and see what happens. She currently lives in Abu Dhabi and in 2 weeks she finds out if she gets a job in...

Thanks mister.... I just need the equipment now. I can just about only shoot when the weather gods are kind enough to give me the right light at the moment.

As for the Canadian marriage thing....to me getting hitched at the registry office is a formality that you for governmental reasons. Like immigration, or how it affects health funds or something. It's not real marriage tiil you decide it's a real marriage and mark it in whatever way you like. So if doing the canadian visa thing works out for you, why not go for it? I'd rather live there in a beautiful country than move to an air-conditioned mall like the UAE biggrin

And men can't figure out women !
It is a wonder we have a species at all.... smile

Is that your car? Is it a '69 (or thereabouts) golf? My mate learnt to drive on one of them... he and I had the two oldest cars in our year at school...
exkyu:
My mates was a '69 fastback. Maybe it wasn't a golf....sounded like it was powered by a sewing machine engine...good fun to drive! I'm not so much a VW fan as just a fan of old cars generally!

Had a friend come over from Abu Dhabi this week and it was an amazing week. Shes one of those types of friends who when you meet up after extended periods of time, it still feels like nothing has changed. I havent seen my friend Leah for 4 years and felt honoured that she was keen to come and visit me and this wonderful country....

I work in a job that at has on many occasions, put my life in jeopardy. I nearly died on tuesday night working in the latrobe valley. It was the end of a 17 hour day and I get paid $17 an hour. I studied at university to get ahead and this job requires a university degree. Yet I am paid and treated like a...

It's not unreasonable!!!! I actually 'do' believe in fairytale endings and love at first sight tongue It's childish maybe but I love the idea and I've seen it first hand smile So I don't like settling for anything less than 'near perfect'!! I know nothing is entirely perfect but I think it can get pretty damn close to it!!!

Maybe you need a change? A new city? A new crowd? And a better paying job? Maybe you can get ontop of debts etc. and live comfortably without having to work your arse off?

Havent been around much unfortunately. Got a lot on my plate. Basically working seven days to keep my head above water and its starting to get to me. Having said that I snuck off after work one night and got to watch a great sunset in the la trobe valley. Enjoy people. No matter how shit things are, a good sunset makes you feel like...

Learning family traditions is always important and having my grandmother down for a week was a good opportunity to learn a few more. At much as it sounds trivial, learning to cook gnocchi is a big deal in our family and so I got my grandmother to teach me and I documented it all the way. I have cooked it before but its the secrets...

So after much thought and bullshit I have officially given up on women. No im not turning gay I'm just over chasing, flirting, hoping and stressing about meeting women. My online dating account will get canned, I will cut all ties with ex's wanting more, i will no longer give passing women a smile and ask them how they are doing and other things like...

Yeah dating sucks, but when life gives you lemons, theres only one thing you can do, make hand grenades.
I gave up stressing about relationships ages ago and have been concentrating on just working for now. It'll all work out in the end.

I totally understand what you're going through man. I've been working on my self for a few weeks now and the only thing I have a hard time doing is breaking my old habits of trying to strike up a conversation with a girl or even be flirtatious with one. Just as long as you don't completely ignore them you can have your cake and eat it too.
