It has been one of those weeks. Work has been taking a toll on me, but luckily I have a day off tomorrow. For those of you who may not know, I have HORRIFIC TMJ disroder. This means, the joint in my jaw does not work properly for some reason (mostly hereditary in my case) and sometimes, it causes a lot of pain. Tonight is a bad night. The worst part about TMJ disroder is the fact that it CAN be fixed, however an insurance company will not touch it until one of two things happens A. my jaw completely locks and it requires surgery to open, or B. it turns into full-blown arthritis. I ahve undergone chiropractic therapy for the issue, but it actually only made my problem worse. I have more good days than bad, luckily. I wake up about 2-3 times a year unable to open my mouth for a day or so and in excrutiating pain. I have a feeling tomorrow morning will be one of those times. It goes away on it's own within a day or so, but I only wish there was more that could be done. Oh well...that is an insurance company for you. They know what a person needs in order to function like a normal human being, but so frequently deny a person that right. Fuck them all!
On a lighter note, the new semester starts next week and I am actually looking forward to getting back to classes. This means, I am a few more classes closer to having my degree
