I played the chameleon last night and did something VERY atypical for me. I went to see Boyz II Men play here in town. I did not wear my normal concert garb, you know...the fishnets, big boots, chains, etc. I dressed in the type of clothes I would wear to a job interview (actually the clothes I did in fact wear to a job interview because I had one yesterday afternoon.). I remember swaying to the melodic tunes of Boyz II Men when I was in junior high and high school. With them being in town, at the venue I frequently go to for other concerts (Dope, Papa Roach, Drowning Pool, etc) I would check it out. Technically I went alone. I used to work at the venue (which is also a nightclub) for a brief period of time. I know almost everyone who works there and the guy i am dating is contract security and had to work the show last night. PM Dawn is not the wonderful R&B duo I remember from my youth. They were actually HORRIBLE! I spent their entire set texting all of my metalhead friends who were making fun of me because I was at a Boyz II Men concert in the first place. Boyz II Men came on and they were phenomenol! They were all I remembered from my youth and I enjoyed every moment of their set. My wonderful man set it up with the tour manager so that I could meet the guys after the show. They were nice enough, but I've not yet drawn conclusions to how I feel about them as people. Sad to say, they seemed fake and not as friendly as most bands I have met. Oh well, it was something that I can say I did and that is all that matters. I love the fact that I will be able to look back on my youth years from now and say "Yes, I did that."
