Contractors! Gotta love 'em! The company I hired to re-roof my house, had their license yanked by the State of Florida, closed their office, disconnected their phone, and rode off into the sunset!
Fortunately, I only gave them a deposit, and the roof is virtually done. The little bit they left unfinished, I can have finished pretty readily. So I'm potentially way ahead on this one. Unlike many others in this area, who gave them deposits and got nothing. The story has been on the news, and in the local papers. It's fun to be associated with famous people, don't ya think?
