As some of you know, my birthday is coming up on the 29th of August. Just five more days! This week has already been so eventful for me and it isn't even time for me to turn 22 quite yet. (Not ready for that age change either, blah.) I was very fortunate to start my week off with news that the set I shot with one of my favorite photographers, @sobelle , was accepted! First off, I can't believe I have three sets coming out, it's crazy to work hard for something and have it actually happen. Secondly, I just adore Sobelle's work and I am so excited. I learned a lot from her in the short time we were together and I have been implementing some of her techniques into my own photography. She really is wonderful. Here's a little preview from that, because why not?
In addition to the wonderful news, my parents super came to my rescue. I've been somewhat struggling financially recently because I moved into a new place and a lot of unforeseen situations came up. So, for this reason, they bombarded me with gifts. They paid my car insurance for the month, bought me new kitchen supplies since I needed them and even bought me an iPhone due to me not being able to afford it and my dad insisting that I need one. I can't even begin to say just how grateful I am for that. A huge weight was lifted from my shoulders. I've been able to catch up finally and save a bit of money up. Which means I can get a birthday tattoo this year! (Well, two.) I go in Saturday to get my Nirvana smiley covered up. I got that tattoo when I was 16 and it isn't really anything great, so I've decided to move on. I'll be getting these Soot Sprites from Spirited Away or My Neighbor Totoro, if you prefer, to cover it and then a few will go down the side of my thigh;
I was also lucky to schedule another shoot for September 3rd at a state park that has some pretty kick ass waterfalls, so that's pretty neat. I can't wait to work with @toxicroach again and make some magic happen, especially at a place this beautiful. My friend took this photo this past week at the location;
My friend, @basti418 was so kind to gift me money for this shoot and I am so grateful for that. Not a lot of friends out there are so supportive, but he always has my back. It is truly a blessing to know someone so sweet and kind.
Let me not forget to mention this guy. My boyfriend has been so great. I've been so stressed out and frustrated and despite me taking it out on him occasionally, he's been there for me in every way possible. He took me to the mall for a paranormal/gaming convention they have every year and we stopped into Rue 21 while we were there. I just wanted to look because I knew I couldn't buy anything, but I pointed out a dress I liked and next thing I knew, he was at the register with it. I can't thank him enough for the kitten/Jesse cuddles, endless amounts of Rick and Morty and for eating froyo with me at two in the morning because I was upset. It seriously means the world.
Thank you to everyone who has helped me out this past week and to everyone who will help me in the future. I am so grateful and words could never explain how grateful. Much love.<3
