I made this for my friends tonight:

Special-Ks Eggplant Parmigiana

A whole lotta salt
1/4 cup olive oil
several cloves of garlic
2 medium eggplants, in 1 inch slices
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
200 g (6 oz) mozzarella cheese
A jar of good tomato sauce (I recommend 4 cheese)

An hour before cooking, slice the eggplant, heavily...

Had a bbq with my longest friends here in Edmonton. Their 3 year old is so much fun. He has one of those little Ikea kid chairs that's like a pod with a cover that pulls down in front. I want a grown up version of one for my office at work, then when I can't face the world I can just pull the cover...

it's good to lay low sometimes. playing with a little one can be one of the most feeing & grounding thing to do. they are so open to everything, even 80's/90's music ( I love that song & sing it often ).

they say that you will never find who you need when you're always looking. in my experience it tends to be true. at the same time, though, you can't give up. there's no winning really...
if only you lived a little closer...smile

So, I've got this heavy scab on my knee from soccer. Yesterday I'm standing talking to someone and I feel this constant little pain there, not unusual for my sore but this just didn't go away. Finally I looked down and there was a bee, a yellowjacket to be precise, face down chewing on the thing. The little bugger bore a hole right into it...

Oh, a flash of lightning out my window -- I love thunder storms.

I've added a new set to my pics, called Apocalyptic Beauty, it's a series of petrochemical plants I took on the coldest night of the year this winter, in Fort Saskatchewan. The cold temperatures meant huge plumes of steam formed over these plants. I'm even trying a little poetry with it to...

yes i am becoming a suicidegirl. the pics are just to play around, though. also to beef up my modeling portfolio a bit (not that it really needs it).

Cool Pics - I did something same with Night Sky in the city - but i deleted the pics and thought they are ugly - now i realize they were quite good.

I'm in Toronto, btw.

Arrrrrrggghhh!! I'm seething. I come into work at 7 am today, this day I'm supposed to be in Toronto for my dear friend's wedding, and fuck around all morning, then take a couple of online courses I've already taken in my spare time. Then they send us home because the db system is down and they can't give a course on it. A complete waste...

Milton's actually turned into quite the Mississauga, almost, over the last couple of years. Scratch that...more like an Oakville. It's not as terrifying as 'Sauga. Yet.

Subdivisions going up everywhere. Not fun.

What the hell did you do in the parking lot of the M-dot mall?? It still sucks. But they are expanding it.

Hornby makes me think of ice cream from their general store. And their cheap golf course. smile

I didn't realize that there were still beta machines alive & kicking... strange.

It's true about the hitting it off over the web... definate things in common... lovely & wonderful!

Happiness is lying naked in bed with a Jack and ice and the Suicide Girls.

Sadness is calling my sweetest friend Dana, my sister Dana, with whom I've shared so much pain and love, and tell her I can't be at her wedding this Saturday. I have my flight booked to Toronto, my hotel room's reserved (shit, have to cancel that) for Saturday night, and...

sorry about your trip being cancelled! it's hard to miss out on the good moments of beloveds.

bonus on the cash though! it's the opposite for me right now, just when i stood to be really busy at work something backfired and now i remain the same. what can you do though...

Yes Andvari, you're right. I just don't say it out loud. I 'm going to edit this whole post 'cause being so public and the things I talk about could actually get me fired here. They have policies about maintaining their values, I don't know where the line is but I'm pretty sure I'm over it.

I don't mind working here now since I've figured out how much I'll be making for the next while.

Good bless Ovida and Kasara. That photoset really did it for me, had to put that one on autoplay (nudge, nudge). Feel much better now.

Fab weekend, took off Thursday night for Calgary with two guys I work with and like to hang around with(!), Caught Champion Alberta playing in a bar there - hung out with the band, my boys, and my friend Jenn....

incredible weekend! it must have been scary to see the bear coming along behind you a bit... i've watched a lot of nature shows, maybe too many, and bears are not a creature to tango with (although the stuffed ones can be nice too snuggle with on a cool evening).

So today i learned my boss is homophobic; at least he purveys homophobia (is it real or what he feels people want to see?) So we're being schmoozed by a company that we buy from and he has a few drinnks and tells us about a conference call with 2 financial men that he was sure was gay, I'll save the details, but I didn't...

Good day today. It was so beautiful out, and I did 2 hours of yoga in the park with my yoga studio. My balance was very poor, fitting I guess because I've been pretty unbalanced lately. Chasing after a girl I really like who I've come to the conclusion just doesn't feel the same about me has left me unsettled, my confidence is down, I'm...

Home from soccer, my head's finally clearing from the hangover, just thinking about my driving home last night. I endangered other people's lives last night, that's not cool at all. I risked losing my license, killing myself or worse having to live with myself if I killed someone else. I will never do that again, it's a time bomb if I do. I know better....

Drove home drunk, tonight. Yep, knew I shouldn't do it, needed ,my car at home for tomorrow morning, did it anyway. Carefully. The important thing about driving when drunk is to drive extra carefuly. They don't say that in the commercials but it'st true. Take your time and make dure of the littlew thinngs, like youor lights are on.

I know it's wrong, that's why I'm...

New profile pic today. That's gonna be my new passport photo, would you let this man into your country? My previous pic was from a time when I was still distraught over the breakup of my marriage. It's a close up of the self portrait in the contextual photos folder in my pics. I was trying to throw all of the hurt, angst and guilt...
