I'm glad that Microsoft took back all these DRM restrictions but I feel now that I could never enjoy the Xbox brand ever again. The just come across as the most horrifically greedy video game company to have ever existed.
Businesses should aim to maximise their profit margin but a smart business would understand the power that customer satisfaction has on brand loyalty. Microsoft just threw that out their window with their "Get an Xbox 360 then" attitude.
The only reason they went back on their decisions was not because it's what consumers had wanted before the Xbox One reveal, but because they simply looked at pre-order data and saw how much of a fuck up they made.
