"COMBAT ZEN"

Tension sizzles
down high-wire streets
creating nightmare tableaus
that flicker through-
the Kinescope of moving traffic.

Distorted masks
of fear, apathy,
and desperation,
crudely rendered
by an idiot hand.

At the close of just another
brutal whirlwind day-
the sun impales itself
against needle towers,
bleeding purple shadows
down onto the Death-march battalions,
hurrying to the familiar frustration

When your parents are still living,
but you feel like an orphan..
When hours spent stuck in traffic,
is less stressful than 5 long minutes
in a house that no longer
even holds a memory of home..

Holding onto a jagged lonliness
like the sweet ache of muscles
after hours of lovemaking.
like the sudden entrance
of a harsh realization

Dude... Princess from the Berlin wall and I were very close... we dated briefly... well, we went on a few dates... but I dug her big time. Wonder where she is these days?

Thanks for your late night ramble... that's the point of this site right... wink

Please let me know if you hear anything. I still hold a flame if you know what I mean. Willhelm was a cool dude as well. Always very nice to me.

"It's too Late,
there's no one left,
that I even want to Imitate.

You see,
you just don't know;

to Validate your Chosen Art,
and Sanction your Boredom,
and let you play out your Part."

Hours pass in rooms
where the only movement
comes from the flicker
of phosperescent Blue light;
tracing the reflections
of Sitcom Reality
across unblinking eyes.

Hours pass...

Went to a Reading tonight. The Feature was incredible. Nafeesa Monroe. She was on the Long Beach Poetry Slam team this year. They came in 6th @ the National Slam. Which is not bad at all.
A lot of excellent poets read on the Open Mic too.. I'll have to go again.

A pretty quiet day. I did a lot of writing, but no Poetry or Journaling (except for this).

Mainly responded to e-mails.. It's funny: Before I got a Computer.. I probably didn't write anyone a letter for 5 years.. but, now I write a bunch of People every day.

Outside my window, the Sun is just starting to set. Finally adding a few pale colors, to what has been a totally gray Sunday Afternoon.

I read Isabelle's journal entry about her Dreams last night. I had strange dreams too.. Something must have been 'in the air,' here in SoCal (besides Smog).

Some of my dreams were beautiful, and some of them horrific. The worst...

i did the middle college program at de anza my senior year of high school, and went there for another year after that taking film classes. i like de anza's film program better than the one i'm in now. cupertino does suck big time, but at least no one gets pissed at me for carrying around a camera and asks me if i have a permit like they do here in l.a.
