*Im back*
So, Last week I jetted off to the south of Turkey for what was to be my first foreign holiday for 6 years. I could obviously write quite a bit about it but that would bore us both. So bullet points it is.
* Arrived in Turkey at 4am their time. Hotel was nice, it was a "holiday village" meaning bajillions of little chalets rather than elevators and lots of floors, but the room was nice, the aircon worked and so I have no complaints.
* Heat wise it ranged between 33 - 38 degrees which is pretty hot. Im not as tanned as I could have been simply because it was tgoo hot to sit anywhere but the shade. I now have a face that has peeled so badly I look like the nemesis from a power rangers episode. Sexy!
*The resort was almost entirely German. This meant the entertainment was not really comprehendable or to my tastes. It did mean that 8 of us (all english) became quite close although we were constantly embarressed by the stereotypical english family abroad. The father of whom insisted on being rude and beligerant to everybody he came across and the kids who spent the week being loud, swearing and stealing things.
* The food was ok but a bit bland
*didnt drink enough despite it being all inclusive because it was so hot all I wanted was Orange Juice rather than Vodka.
* The Nightclub was incredibly dodgy. Kelly hated it but myself and Rachel (one of our english friends) found the German dance music quite catchy by the end of the week.
*Some midnight swimming in the sea whilst pissed was fun
*Didnt really buy any thing there because the local shops harrass you so badly to go in that we avoided all the shopping areas.
*my birthday was low key as it fell on the day we were flying back so I completely forgot about it. 22 now, and I have 5 or 6 grey hairs!
*We paid a guy in the resort to take some staggeringly cheesy pics which I'll share with you another time but he had Kel sniffing a rose which says it all!
*I dont think I'll ever be comfortable with plane landings. Anyone else feel the same?
I won't bore you with any more holiday observations.
*Glad the SGUK Notts meet was fun. Sad to have missed it. Looks now like Im going to miss everything this summer. Why is nobody closer!!
*Wayne Rooneys foot is still dragging on.
*Big Brother seems to be getting more and more dramatic every year. Pete to win.
*Anything good happen while I was gone that I should know about?
I may have also joined a rival site to SG for a little look. Im not planning on switching but I thought that it'd be naive to sing the virtues of this site without knowing about others.
*Thank you all for your birthday wishes.
Hardly took any pics but here are a few which made it
Id found my ideal destination before we'd even left the airport!
Roman Ruin type stuff that I wont even pretend to give a flying fuck about. Apparently Antony met cleopatra there, I say who?
The campest assault that tree had ever been threatened with
This awesome little fucker was living in our aircon unit. Which made me far happier than it did Kel.
This is not in fact, a lobster on the edge of its natural enviroment but me on the beach!
This is me and our mate Rachel post late night sea swim. The waves are not existant during the day but fantastic at night. Probably shouldnt have gone in just wearing our pants whilst pissed though.
Kelly (cruelintentions) sunbathing. She actually went from a fairly translucent shade of blue to reasonably tanned over the week so she's fairly happy!
Right, Im off to try and use the english sun to maintain my tan, no chance
