Things continue to roll onward - I have booked a local studio in Red Bank in June to track the next Teeth album. In the meantime, Beel continues to mix the X album, of which I'm very juiced about.
So I've been spending my time with the Bells of Orchid lyrics (16 songs) which I'm arranging and preparing for the sesions. The engineer for the Red Bank sessions has produced two avant garde albums with Edwin Torres, who, though very different than me, has some similar sensibilities, particularly with regard to blending dynamic poetry / vocal performances with structured yet improvised music. So he'll be able to dig right in to the Teeth.
I'm also sauced up because the studio has all kinds of vintage equipment. Lord Claud (the keyboard player) will go nuts; a 19th century grand steinway piano, a moog synth, a clavichord, wurlitzer organ, etc. And lots of vintage amps. It's going to be a lot of fun, and we'll be able to get serious work done. So yes, back on the horse.
